SSC CGL Tier I Exam Details 2014 :

Staff Selection Commission of India, one of the biggest recruitment organizations that selects suitable candidates for various vacancies present in different departments and offices of Govt of India at different cadres and categories. SSC will conduct Combined Graduate Level Exam every year for the vacancies to be filled with Graduate candidates of different disciplines. SSC CGL will be conducted in two stages known as Tier I exam and Tier II exam. Candidates qualified in the Tier I exam will be made eligible to appear in Tier II exam. SSC CGL Tier I Exam will be conducted for a total of 200 marks for 200 objective type MCQ's with an allowed time duration of 120 minutes only. SSC CGL examination contains Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions from 4 sections that can be listed as, General Intelligence and reasoning, General Awareness, quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.SSC CGL Exam contains 50 Objective Type MCQ's from each of the 4 sections for a total of 50 marks for each section with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer from the total of correct answers. SSC will specify Cut Off Marks based on the number of vacancies and number of applications received for each vacancy and will allow the candidates who scores more than specified cut off marks for the next level of CGL Exam followed by personal interview.
